This is a volunteer remote role for a School Board Member. The School Board Member will be responsible for attending regular virtual meetings, participating in decision-making processes, reviewing and approving budgets, policies, and programs, and ensuring that the school meets its educational goals. Additionally, the Board Member will work closely with school leadership to provide strategic guidance and support fundraising and community engagement efforts.
- Experience in education, educational management, or a related field
- Sound knowledge of school policies, budgets, and educational programs
- Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and communities
- Previous board experience or nonprofit experience is a plus
- Passion for educational equity and student success
