Event Specialist

American Party Place is an event rental company located in Tacoma, WA looking for a passionate, driven individual to work with customers in our showroom. Event Specialists are the smiling face all our appointments and walk-in customers meet when they stop by - whether to choose the items for their weddings and events, or to pick up orders from our warehouse.

Primarily looking for someone to work full-time but part-time may be an option for the right person.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-High School Diploma or equivalent GED

-Must have at least 2 years experience in Customer Service and/or Sales.

-Knowledge of the Wedding Industry is a plus.

-Must be able to work Saturdays

-Ability to communicate, speak, and write in English. Knowledge of Spanish is also a plus.

-Proficiency using the computer is needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The nature of our work in the showroom is very fast paced. You must be able to thrive while multitasking - answering phones, taking orders, and working with clients when they come in for appointments. We also need you to LOVE talking with people! You will be answering many questions about weddings and events, so being able to learn quickly and display proficient knowledge of our items will help guarantee you can succeed! Most of our work is done using rental software, so being great with the computer is needed. Keeping our showroom clean and tidy is also important, as is following all opening and closing procedures.
