Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all invoices and payments.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers, check runs, and ACH payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve vendor inquiries promptly.
• Maintain vendor records, including contact details and payment terms.
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient workflows and resolve issues.
• Other financial duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus).
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
