What You'll Do... As a Commercial Sales Rep for American pest, you'll work as part of the sales team out of our modern, professional office within a fast-paced environment. You'll focus not just on self-generated sales leads but also on promptly responding to high-volume inbound sales leads generated from our marketing efforts. You'll become an expert in American Pest's products, services, programs, and pricing to enable you to be a truly consultative sales rep to a wide variety of commercial customers. You'll manage all aspects of the "lead-to-customer" journey - handling inbound and self-generated leads to phone and email, conducting consultative needs assessments, documenting customer data in our web-based-CRM, providing estimates for services, delivering electronic proposals, and collecting payment information. To keep those sales coming, you'll maintain an extensive sales pipeline targeting sales leads in our target markets, ensuring new and existing customers have the right products and services to meet their needs. And, of course, delivering outstanding customer service all along the way.
Who You Are... So, what does it take to be successful as a Commercial Sales Rep at American Pest? For starters, you'll have an inner drive to make the sale and make the customer happy! You'll also have...
- A bachelor's degree in a business-related field -or- at least one year in a sales/sales support role -or- one year of account-based customer management
- A minimum of one year working with a web-based customer database or CRM (PestPac is preferred)
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to effectively manage your time, prioritizing multiple tasks and maximizing performance while remaining customer-focused
- The ability to understand customers' needs, handle objections, and close business
- The ability to learn and retain complex pest control industry knowledge (i.e. general pest information, treatment methods, service protocols, etc.) through company provided training in the following platforms - online, field, and classroom
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English - fluency in additional languages is also appreciated
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
