Description
American Piledriving Equipment, a world leader in research and development, production and sales of foundation construction equipment, is currently looking to fill the position of HR Assistant at our Kent, WA location.
- Perform all pre-employment checks for all branches.
- Post job positions online through Paycom and help conduct interviews. Ensure job links are kept updated.
- I9, Background Check, Drug Testing. Follow-up with I9 Exceptions/Maintain appropriate documentation for audit.
- Onboarding new employees for all branches.
- Double check/follow-up on benefit elections along with other new hire checks/balances. Perform orientation and follow-up on scheduled intervals.
- Perform all post-employment tasks for all branches.
- Notify COBRA vendor, close all benefits, exit interview, etc.
- Keep up on ongoing employee needs.
- Benefit questions, changes, clocking questions, guidance on Paycom.
- Update garnishments, 401K, etc. within the Paycom system.
- Audit ACA information on an ongoing basis to match benefit portal.
- Other requests as needed.
- Assist annually with 401K and other audits as requested, gathering information.
- Help generate job descriptions and recommend changes for enhanced recruiting efforts.
- Complete market analysis for job positions in multiple U.S. cities.
- Submit L&I Stay at Work claims and work with BIAW on ROII Claims in WA State.
- Advise/assist on safety issues, clocking issues, and other associated tasks.
- Help generate employee warning notices for managers and be available for in-person HR presence at meetings/upon request of department supervisor.
- Complete any employee documents received by a third party.
- File employee documents electronically and in the office.
- Be committed to being part of a small office, i.e. phones, filing, etc. as needed for other departments as necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Human Resources is required.
- Experience with basic ins/outs of HR laws is extremely helpful.
- Ability to comprehend/explain benefits to employees.
- Basic accounting and reconciliation knowledge is an extreme advantage.
- Storage of confidential documents.
- Confidentiality/ethics surrounding personal information and sharing requirements is imperative.
- Attention to detail is really important.
- Ability to thrive in a small office/business that is really big on the outside would be stellar.
