Description
Painter – Heavy Equipment Yard
American Piledriving Equipment is seeking a safety-minded, experienced Painter to join our fast-paced heavy equipment yard. This position requires someone who is physically active, detail-oriented, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions while ensuring high-quality paint finishes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, prime, and paint large equipment following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain blast booth equipment, including handling blasting materials and accessories.
- Work in confined spaces within the blast booth as required, following proper safety protocols.
- Perform surface preparation tasks, such as sanding, grinding, and pressure washing.
- Work alongside senior crew members to complete prep work and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Handle and maintain painting materials, tools, and equipment required for heavy machinery coating.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, following safety protocols.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Safety First: Must follow all workplace safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and blasting materials.
- Confined Space Work: Must be comfortable working in tight spaces inside the blast booth while using appropriate PPE.
- Experience Required: Prior experience with blast booths, industrial coatings, and surface preparation materials is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Must be comfortable being on the move all day, handling tools, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Overtime Flexibility: Ability to work overtime on short notice when needed.
- Pre-employment Testing: Must pass a drug/alcohol test (excluding marijuana results per Washington law) and a background check.
- Bilingual: Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required.
