American Piledriving Equipment is a full-service piledriving manufacturing company, and we distribute products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
The Shop Support is responsible for performing multiple tasks for various departments, must have a willingness to learn, be comfortable with receiving direction with a can-do attitude, be comfortable with working overtime last minute, and have some previous experience in equipment mechanics.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Must be comfortable with switching tasks often and performing multiple different job duties.
- Must be comfortable with rig hoses and various equipment for lifting with Crane.
- Utilize various hand tools such as torches, drills, and any other that may be required within a manufacturing environment.
- Assist in operating manufacturing equipment as required.
- Perform/assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the environment and job sites can be loud.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills essential
- Must have ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow instructions and utilize reasonable deduction.
- Ability to prioritize and respond with the appropriate sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of load capacities, equipment, and material inspection.
- Basic understanding of operation or use of a multitude of equipment and tools.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn and ability to retain and regurgitate instructions.
- Willingness to work overtime with little notice.
- Ability to operate in an ever-changing manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Drug and background screening will be conducted.
- Familiarity of shop/warehouse operations preferred.
- Crane use and inspection experience preferred.
- Basic mechanic experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to exert maximum force to pull and carry objects.
- Ability to frequently lift without restriction.
- Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling
Salary : $20 - $26
