What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beverage - Cocktail Server (Pt) position at American Place Casino - Waukegan, Illinois?
Greet and serve alcoholic and non-alcohol drinks to guest to enhance guest enjoyment of the Casino.
Essential Job Functions:
Greet and serve guests in a friendly, courteous manner;
Receive and understand beverage orders & relay drink orders to bartenders;
Know what brands of liquor, beer and wine we offer as “comped” beverages;
Carry and balance a full tray of beverages;
Keep glasses picked up, area clear of paper, and other debris as time permits;
Circulate throughout assigned workstation on a continuous basis;
Never serve two drinks at the same time to one person - never a beer and a shot;
Be aware of intoxicated guests; stay up-to-date on care training;
Other reasonable duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School/GED preferred
6 months related experience minimum.
Preferred:
Bilingual a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Must be able to carry and balance trays and lift up to 30 lbs.
Able to walk the duration of assigned shift and wear approved designated heal for shoes
Ability to handle high volume and stressful situations
Excellent guest service communication skills
Exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise at times - casino environment

Salary Range:
$9.50-15.75 Tips
Salary : $10 - $16
