Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Safety Supervisor to oversee safety, operations, and customer service across approximately 12 facilities in a defined geographic area. This role will be crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of safety protocols, supporting lifeguard teams, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining a positive environment for both staff and guests.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, team leadership, and customer service, with a passion for promoting safety in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Ensure the safety of guests and staff by implementing and enforcing lifeguard protocols, safety drills, and emergency response procedures across all assigned locations.
- Lifeguard Supervision & Training: Oversee the performance and training of lifeguard teams, ensuring they are properly certified, equipped, and prepared to respond to emergencies.
- Facility Operations: Collaborate with facility managers to ensure all locations are running smoothly, equipment is maintained, and operations are efficient. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues as they arise.
- Customer Service Excellence: Monitor guest interactions to ensure excellent customer service standards are met and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
- Staff Development & Support: Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing development to staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
- Emergency Preparedness: Lead or support emergency response drills and situations, maintaining readiness for all types of emergencies (water rescues, facility evacuations, etc.).
- Coordination & Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between facility managers, regional leadership, and the safety department to maintain open lines of communication and ensure operational consistency across the region.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an aquatics or recreation environment.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of safety standards, risk management, and emergency procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools for reporting and scheduling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
