The Recruiter position is responsible for recruiting in a multi-company environment and building a continual network in order to generate a large and continuous candidate pool. Other generalist responsibilities will be applicable as needed.
Essential Functions
- Leads recruiting efforts, including screening, selecting, and interviewing job applicants to match their qualifications with employers’ needs as well as building a network, going to recruiting events, etc.
- Use recruiting tools including but not limited to Paylocity, LinkedIn, really, to fill job openings/potential job openings rapidly with qualified candidates and to keep recruiting efforts organized.
- Provide information on Company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Manage candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.
- Participate in the selection and/or placement of team members to fill vacant positions by working with leaders to identify critical job characteristics to ensure successful candidate selection.
- Extend verbal contingent employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings, communicating important employment information (e.g., benefits, compensation, start date).
- Work alongside HR Coordinators and collaborate on processes to make the hiring process efficient.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with community colleges, universities, and other recruiting avenues contacts as a source to help generate a qualified candidate pool.
- Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Help implement recruiting policies and procedures to direct and guide company to success.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned and/or HR Generalist tasks as needed.
