Description
Immediate opening for a Social Dance Instructor in our 7th - 9th grade Ambassador Dance classes. Ambassador dance classes meet once a week with a social dance instructor joining with a certified PE teacher or Leadership Development classroom teacher to cover the materials provided. The social dance curriculum is set, videoed and prepared for the ideal candidate to easily add their teaching skills and personality to the recipe.
Class openings are currently at Draper 3 (431 W 11913 South)
- Mondays: 7:30 am - 11:30 am
- Tuesdays: 7:30 am - 11:30 am
- Fridays either 7:30 - 11:30 am or 10:30 am - 3:00 pm
The best candidates should have expertise in teaching American style social dance bronze level steps. The dance curriculum includes social civility, kindness and skill based manners associated with social situations. Students should leave the class with a positive feeling of accomplishment and a general sense of well-being and inclusion. Candidates are expected to believe in their ability to have a positive impact on the lives and learning of their students. Their mindset aligns and embraces APA’s school mission of academic rigor and virtuous character.

Bachelor's degree encouraged not required, Social Dance certification helpful
