This position is for someone to assist with the operations of a Crane and Trucking Company. Assist with the use of the crane to load, unload and set-delivered or onsite materials.
DUTIES:
- Assist Crane Operator
- Set up / Break down
- Strong math skills needed
- Able to learn how to read and comprehend load charts
- Inspection of rigging
- Selection and implementation of proper rigging equipment
- Able to communicate properly with crane operator for safe operations
- Use a tag line to control the direction of the load
- Assist Semi Driver
- Loading, unloading semi-trailer
- Securing load with the use of straps or chains
- Assist in equipment maintenance
- Able to see potential safety hazards and create a written safety plan to minimize risk
- Able to communicate safety instructions clearly
- Able to lift 75 pounds
- Drive company pick-ups
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 23 years of age
- NCCER or NCCCO certified rigger a plus
- Must have valid Driver’s license
- Must have a good/clean driving record
- Reliable transportation a must
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- CDL Class A required
- 6 months experience with cranes a plus
A person living within 30 minutes of Longmont, CO is preferred.
