American Process Management (APM) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide business intelligence support for Fortune 500 clients. APM brings real-time analytics to large-scale projects.
This position will be client facing, where strong communications skills, understanding of business processes, and requirements gathering are required. We are seeking a candidate that resides in Birmingham, AL, or will be willing to relocate prior to starting work.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across key business lines and functional stakeholders to develop reporting requirements
- Integrate & compile data from multiple databases, establish and test data connections to build reporting solutions that provide data-driven analysis of project’s performance, financials, schedule, risk & other KPIs
- Cleanse and transform unformatted, duplicate, incomplete or outlier data to develop dynamic Tableau/ Power BI dashboards, work with stakeholders to ensure deliverables are in alignment with business needs
- Analyze legacy databases and data availability, use knowledge of business and data structures to streamline reporting while ensuring data integrity and automating reporting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Data Visualization experience (Tableau/Power BI) is required
- Project Management experience (especially Project Controls) is preferred
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience working with large, complex datasets and performing ETL processes
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in identifying, gathering business requirements to build data visualization solutions that establish cross-team clarity amongst both technical and non-technical audiences
- Minimum 2 years of experience with MS Excel functions, Power Query to extract and transform data from multiple sources, perform complex calculations and generate reports
- Lead multiple time-sensitive tasks with competing priorities with minimum guidance & acute attention to detail
