American Promotional Events dba TNT Fireworks is a 104-year-old national company that is a leader in our industry. We have a position available for a Sales Area Manager who will cover the territory of Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas
This full-time position that works remotely from your home office. Candidate can live anywhere in Arkansas, Missouri or Kansas. Preference will be given to candidates living in a central area in the territory.
BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS: The Area Manager is responsible for marketing our sales program to individuals, groups and organizations to operate seasonal sales locations. The Area Manager should meet and exceed monthly and seasonal goals/deadlines that include securing customers, completing leases, applying for local permits, contracting with local vendors and completing site surveys. Experience working with teachers, non-profit and civic groups is a plus.
Travel and Support:
Travel is required within geographic territory on a regular basis and for bi-annual/quarterly sales meetings.
Substantial geographic/overnight travel during the peak sales seasons. Area Manager will visit each sales location in territory and be “on-call” 24/7 during the seasonal sales periods.
Area Managers may be required to assist in other territories for training purposes, orientation, site visits, return centers, and sales blitz’s, as needed
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:
Area Manager works from your home office with regular business hours of 8am - 5pm with extended hours during peak sales times or as business conditions dictate. Must be able to work with a limited level of supervision. Must be self-motivated and extremely disciplined to be successful. Participates in several weekly conference calls and zoom meetings.
DRIVING RECORD:
Area Manager must have and maintain acceptable driving record per company policy. Pre- employment background check including motor vehicle report and pre-employment drug screening will be required for the candidate of choice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred. Two years of previous outside sales with cold calling experience desired. Networking skills within groups and organizations highly desired for customer recruitment.
Candidate must have superior organizational skills. Area Manager will complete sales contracts and other paperwork to send to our home office. Paperwork will be detail orientated. Position requires ability to do cold calling leasing and permitting. Position with spend no less than 60% of time working from your home office desk.
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Daily use of excel is required.
Overall: Needs to have an energetic with a friendly personality. Must be comfortable presenting to large groups. Experience successfully closing sales and negotiating are necessary. Experience recruiting or selling to organizations and/or non-profit groups is a plus.
Must demonstrate a high degree of analytical ability for problem solving, planning and experience supervising a sales team is a plus.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
