Position Summary :
As the afternoon drivetime host at YourClassical MPR, this Host will be one of its most visible employees. In addition to hosting on-air programs, they will collaborate to develop and deliver engaging and inventive regional and national content and programs.
This position sits in the collective bargaining agreement between MPR and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists ("SAG-AFTRA").

Expected Compensation Range : $87,104 - $108,880 / yr. The exact salary is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.
Your Role :
- Perform regular afternoon drive time-air shifts YourClassical MPR.
- Work closely with the programming team to craft a sound to emphasize local focus first.
- Will occasionally be called to fill in on our national service, Classical 24, during the afternoon drivetime.
- Aircheck regularly with supervisor to explore ways in which performance can improve to engage and grow the audience.
- Participate in training opportunities to learn and grow as a professional talent.
- Collaborate with supervisor to conceptualize and execute the goals of the station to serve our core audience, while exploring ways to reach new audiences.
- Operate the broadcast board and all studio equipment.
- Host live concerts and events.
- Conduct Interviews with local arts partners and artists to enhance drivetime airshifts.
- Research, write, and record scripts for programs and promos as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from listeners as appropriate via social media, email, or phone with tact and courtesy.
- Make personal appearances for APM / MPR and member stations as assigned and serve as a public representative for the organization.
- Participate in regional MPR pledge drives.
- Other duties as assigned.
