Sales Associate

American Public Safety is located in the Long Neck area of Millsboro, DE. We are looking for the right candidate to be a part of our Inside Sales Support Staff. Hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00am-3:30pm (30 minutes lunch) resulting in 30 hours per week. We are closed for most major holidays.

Upon evaluation after 6 months of employment, this will become a full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00-4:00, and will receive a pay raise to $18/hour as well as paid holidays off, and accrue PTO, with a long term goal of becoming a commissioned sales representative.

We work with Public Safety agencies to provide them with equipment and supplies that they use and wear such as their uniforms, boots, vests and duty gear. We service customers locally and along the East Coast.

Inside Support Staff Responsibilities:

• Receiving/Giving information from/to Sales Team via email, phone and text
• Entering Quotes in the system to send to customers
• Maintaining and building customer relations
• Assisting customers with product inquiries
• Negotiating sales terms and closing sales
• Accepting payments and processing
• Following up on Customer's open orders
• Assist walk in customers
• Following up on leads and generating new business
• Product knowledge (training provided)

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree/GED required.
• Willingness for ongoing training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
• Positive attitude and team player.
