What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mail Services Professional position at American Quarter Horse Association?
Work in a team setting using data entry devices, such as keyboard or scanner, to assist with incoming and outgoing mail processing and shipping. Duties may include verifying data and preparing materials for printing and mailing. Perform interoffice and in-town deliveries. Operate a forklift and/or electric pallet jack to load and unload materials used for horse shows while keeping the barn area organized and cleaned.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the mail pickup throughout the building and HOF daily, as scheduled from each department, Prepare it for postal service and deliver it to the USPS or other appropriate location.

Prepare items to be shipped by freight to shows and sales. This can include working with freight companies, scheduling pick-up and deliveries, submitting shipping documentation through online freight websites, and following up on pickup/delivery.
Assist in receiving, opening, and scanning mail during high volume mail days.
Assist in loading and unloading trailers for events, operating a forklift and/or electric pallet jack when needed, and delivering items to their respective department or storage location.
Participate in setting up and tearing down of special events.
Help keep the barn and other work areas organized and cleaned.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific Knowledge:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Be able to lift 60 pounds.
- Able to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.
