What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Hand position at American R&C, LLC?
Job Overview
We are looking for someone that can manage our concrete block forms at our ready mix plant. You will be responsible for pouring concrete into the forms, finishing the tops, using equipment(telehandler) to raise the blocks and move them to the storage area once cured, breaking down the forms, cleaning the forms and the pads and reassembling the forms. We will teach you all the types of blocks we have and we'll need you to manage the inventories, knowing what types of blocks to pour for the next day and setting up the forms as such. The block forms are heavy so you will need to be able to drag and place these forms continuously throughout the day and able to work outdoors all day.
You will also be a backup loader operator for loading our aggregate bins for the concrete plant. We will gladly teach the right candidate on how to safely operate our equipment. Willing to help out around the plant when not engaged with the blocks is a must.
Monday through Friday, No weekends or nights. We do start pretty early everyday but your start and end times are somewhat negotiable, depending on your needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
