Technical Service Representative

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Provide technical assistance with the service and repair of equipment manufactured by the Company and process orders for replacement parts. Assist service agencies, parts distributors, engineering, sales and others on service matters.

REPORTING STATUS:

Reports to Parts and Service Management

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide customers with parts information and refer them to the nearest service agency or parts distributor when appropriate. Receive and process requests for service parts.

2. Assist customers and service agencies (via phone, chat, and email messages) on technical issues to resolve equipment problems as necessary. Provide technicians, consultants, fabricators and end users’ service data on proper application, sizing and installation of equipment.

3. Provide technical and service assistance to sales personnel, representatives and Customer Service personnel as required.

4. Act as liaison between engineering and service operations as part of the Warranty and Quality Steering Group to resolve equipment performance and reliability issues.

5. Perform various administrative tasks related to order processing, warranty claim processing and other service documents necessary to manage the service operation.

6. Assist with the maintenance of service records database.

7. Maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge through training seminars, technical classes and equipment audits.

SPECIAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· 2 years of college or related experience

· 5 years in service field preferred

· Excellent people skills, including written and oral communications

· Technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electrical theory

· Experience in the foodservice industry preferred

· Ability to work without supervision and make independent decisions

• Proficient on the use of Microsoft products to produce daily tasks
• Must be able to be sedentary for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to travers across the warehouse, climb stairs to 2nd floor offices.
• Work environment indoors, near other people, at times noise level will be louder than normal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
