Position Type: 42 Week Contract with high possibility for extension
Shift Timing: Days, 5x7.5 Hour (07:00-14:30) - Fulltime 37.5 hours/week
Start Date: 08/07/2025 (August 7th, 2025 through June 5th, 2026
School Year: 2025-2026
Weekly Gross Pay Range: $1800 to $2000
Key Information:
- Open to new Grad CF's - district will provide supervision
- Must hold SC SLP license and educator certificate or be in the process of applying
- K-12 grade openings, will know where everyone is placed until summer
Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders, including speech, language, voice, and fluency issues. This position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to help students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication skills.
- Identify students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders.
- Develop and administer formal and informal tests to evaluate communication abilities and identify areas of need.
- Collaborate with other professionals (teachers, school psychologists, and special education staff) to understand the needs of students.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
- Set specific goals for students based on their needs and progress.
- Provide ongoing documentation and updates to IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to develop strategies for students' success in the classroom.
- Provide consultation and training to staff on how to support students' communication development in the classroom.
- Communicate with parents to provide updates on students' progress and offer strategies for supporting communication skills at home.
