What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Hudson "Sound the Alarm" position at American Red Cross Eastern New York Region?

This is a volunteer opportunity to help your community to gain knowledge about fire safety. You will help provide residents in Hudson have updated smoke alarms and explain how to use them and why they are necessary for fire safety. You will go into residents’ homes to help explain how to properly use the smoke detectors, and how to put batteries in correctly. With the number of recent house fires across the United States and in our region, it is imperative that that everyone in the community has the precaution of having up to date and working smoke detector, for the safety of themselves and their loved one. Please consider helping your community in spreading awareness of this home fire prevention program and being part of the Red Cross community.
