Job Overview:
American Refrigeration is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Management & Procurement Specialist to oversee shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and reordering processes. This role ensures that inventory levels are properly maintained, orders are accurately processed, and shipments are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain logistics, procurement, and inventory control to support smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Reordering:
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy.
- Analyze inventory trends to forecast demand and prevent stock shortages or overages.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely reordering of parts and materials.
- Track and manage purchase orders (POs) to confirm on-time delivery.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
- Identify and source quality suppliers for refrigeration parts and materials.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Resolve discrepancies related to orders, invoices, and deliveries.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Inspect received goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Prepare shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
Order Fulfillment:
- Process internal orders efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate with parts and service team for timely deliveries
- Address order discrepancies and handle returns or exchanges as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with shipping processes and logistics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lift and move shipments when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industrial refrigeration or a related industry.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
