As the Credentialing Information Specialist (CIS) 1, in our Continuing Registration department, you’ll be a first point of contact with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registrants and others requesting information. You’ll have a deep understanding of the certification and registration requirements Registered Technologists face and use your strong current technology skills to quickly navigate multiple software systems.
You’ll work to address registrants’ needs by providing information, education, and key communications regarding:
- General and renewal information,
- Verification of registration,
- Continuing education requirements and activities.
In this role, you’ll also identify opportunities to improve communications and promote accuracy of information with a keen attention to detail.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Credentialing Information Specialist
- Answer incoming calls concerning Continuing Education (CE) requirements (high volume call center)
- Route calls to appropriate areas.
- Document call information according to policies.
- Participate in a rotation to cover as the Company operator.
- Process faxes and fax verifications.
- Answer calls regarding CQR (Continuing Qualifications Requirements) and CE biennium processes.
- Keep current on the education requirements.
- Resolve customer complaints and problems by offering options.
- Escalate issues to Supervisor or Manager as appropriate.
Continuing Registration
- Procedural knowledge of CE bienniums.
- Technical knowledge, utilization, and troubleshooting of ARRT’s current IT systems including chat or instant messaging system, database, phone system, fax system, and impersonation software.
- Knowledge and communications regarding CQR, CQR Professional profile, CQR Structured self-assessment, and CQR CE prescription.
- Knowledge and communication regarding the eligibility appeal process.
Miscellaneous
- Model exemplary customer service via communications with external and internal customers
- Participate in ongoing learning activities to improve job performance (e.g., goals, development plans, software training).
- Communicate and collaborate with other staff members in a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned and modified as business needs dictate.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year minimum of call center/customer service representative experience
Skills and Abilities required: attention to detail, computer skills- strong, verbal and written communication, decision making, documentation, job-focused learning, problem solving/analytical thinking, proof reading/editing skills, reliability, understanding and following procedures. Strong computer technology skills- including Microsoft Teams and Outlook, multi-line phone systems, web-browser, database, and various software systems. Equipment is provided.
Position location options:
- Onsite at our Mendota Heights office or
- Primarily remote from an approved location- very occasional Mendota Heights office visit requirements (local Twin City metro area candidates only).
