Description

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is seeking an organized individual with strong communication skills and digital acumen to support our mission and to join our team as Training and Development Manager.  This full-time position is considered hybrid with some onsite requirements in our Mendota Heights, Minnesota office.


Using your training and development skills and expertise, you'll lead and develop ARRT’s organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation, and assess the outcomes. You will assist in identifying training and development needs and develop new training initiatives utilizing the principles of adult learning. Some areas of focus include development of onboarding and ongoing staff and manager development. This role will coordinate self-directed learning activities, and document processes, policies, and practices to improve the quality and consistency in delivery of information to all levels of the ARRT staff. You'll also:

  • Create trainings and develop training materials
  • Conduct hands-on training both virtually and in person
  • Enhance and recognize the performance of ARRT staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

All Staff Development

• Deliver education to ARRT staff for current and emerging staff needs.

• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to build organizational learning and development roadmap(s) based on training needs and unique department needs.

• Project manage the full cycle of training from development to implementation and continuous improvement.

• Develop position-specific skills and knowledge per identified opportunities.

• Coordinate and manage ARRT training and development to drive participation and adoption of changes and new processes and provide development opportunities to existing and new staff.

• Align learning strategies to ARRT strategic-operational goals and develop a strategic learning plan.

• Design and deploy different learning methodologies for adult learners, such as interactive training, eLearning, job shadowing, coaching, etc.

• Maintain accurate training records.

• Ensure consistency and accuracy across learning materials.


Curriculum and Instruction

• Collect and incorporate real-time feedback and lessons to continuously improve the quality of training and development curriculum.

• Assess and analyze existing data to incorporate into a development framework, strategy, and talent advising practice to develop organizational leaders, managers, and individual contributors.

• Provide ongoing planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization’s curriculum and instruction for ARRT staff.

• Ensure there is a full curriculum of programs, including ARRT-specific, function-specific, and employee development content focused on career and professional skills.

• Build innovative formal and informal learning tools, resources, and programs.

• Design and develop various training materials such as PowerPoints, micro-training videos, simulations, role-playing scenarios, maps, etc. 

• Enhance, modify, and consolidate existing learning materials.

• Conduct research and make recommendations regarding current trends in training and education.


Technology & Innovation

• Integrate existing and new technologies while helping to define a clear purpose for each of the many platforms-intranet, digital curriculum, shared drive systems, learning management system, etc.-utilized for curriculum and training.

• As new technologies are identified and existing technologies refined, lead successful implementation to improve experiences and outcomes.

• Ensure that ARRT is equipped with the appropriate learning delivery system(s) capable of supporting organizational learning, development, compliance, etc.


Leadership Development

• Develop learning networks and leadership pathways for staff, including implementing a robust, comprehensive management development training series.

• Identify internal subject matter expertise across the organization and help develop a strategy for leveraging and codifying that expertise while elevating subject matter experts into leadership roles.

• Create organizational structures for co-learning and sharing skills expertise across teams and departments.

• Assess and analyze the current development and career pathway process to ensure maximum effectiveness and equity.

• Assist with the succession planning practices to maintain a sustainable pipeline for the organization.

• Leverage external partners when needed for unique or advanced leadership development experiences.


Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including public speaking, with the ability to effectively communicate to learners and leaders of all levels.  

• Demonstrated proficiency in content creation and design from scratch.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

• Data collection and analysis- qualitative and quantitative- to make informed decisions.

• Ability to understand complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Strong level of ethics and confidentiality. 

• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and influence change within an organization.

• Comfort working within and across various platforms and technologies including the Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems, and video conferencing and presenting platforms.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in employee development, adult learning, human resources development, related field or equivalent industry experience 

• 5 years of experience developing, coordinating, and facilitating training programs for adult learners


Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree

• Experience supporting change management through leading and development

• SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CPLP/CPTD, APTD, CPTM or other professional training related certification

Salary range is $92,623 to $108,969 annually.
