United by exceptional service, the ARS/Rescue Rooter Network serves both residential and light commercial customers. ARS is seeking an experienced Controller to support its service center. • Management and oversight of all accounting and finance functions to include:
• Revenue recognition
• Job costing
• Inventory Management & Control
• Accounts Payables
• Accounts Receivables & Collections
• Perform and oversee all month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Provide direct support and thought partnership to the General Manager.
• Establish a strong working relationship with line managers to coordinate facility objectives while assisting in cost improvement initiatives.
• Partner with the General Manager and Division Controller on monthly forecasts, revenue planning, profitability studies, and expense analysis and management
• Interface with other service center functional groups (service, sales, dispatch, fleet, customer service, purchasing, safety, HR) to evaluate fiscal impact of current/future activities.
• Ensure adherence to corporate directed financial controls and escalate concerns regarding efficacy.
• Monitor financial control within various reporting functions such as material control, purchasing, labor reporting, central A/P processing, etc.
• Prepare and publish accurate and timely monthly financial statements, weekly estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual operating, and capital plans.
• Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis to guide unbiased decision intelligence.
• Meet with management to review variances to budget and variances to estimate to ensure accuracy and mutual understanding of drivers.
• Oversee and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Manage recurring audits and ensure all findings are addressed.
• Manage, train, and develop the accounting team.
• Knowledge and oversight of payroll.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance as needed.
• Travel once per month to Jacksonville, FL. Company vehicle will be provided for travel to location.

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller, managing the accounting and finance operations for businesses $25M .
• MBA or Masters degree in accounting; or a bachelors and CPA. Minimum of 4 years of related accounting experience as a Controller is required. Related education and/or training and/or experience may be considered for substitution.
• This roll is hands on with month end close procedures, including submittal and review of general ledger transactions. Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
• JD Edwards software experience is preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Payroll experience a plus.
• Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with ability to establish cross functional relationships.
• Proven leadership and possession of problems solving skills.
• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems to include word processing, spreadsheet software and integrated ERP/ accounting systems.
• Advanced or expert proficiency using Microsoft Office products, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
• Demonstrates responsibility for financial control, which includes the ability to gain understanding and awareness of current processes, to identify and analyze potential weaknesses.
