Job Summary:
The Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) Architect is a central role within the Product Support team, focused on ensuring all aspects of a system lifecycle sustainment architecture are captured in requirements, derived lower-level requirements, and interfaces within MBPS best practices. The MBPS Architect will work in conjunction with the Systems Engineering architects, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, and Product Support Analysts towards shared and complete capture of the supportability of a system. Key responsibilities include identifying analyses necessary for delivery of stakeholder needs, aligning understanding between functional teams on how to capture these efforts, and ensuring the team has captured requirements, structure, behavior, and parametric characteristics in a well-defined easy-to-understand context. The MBPS Architect is highly technical and capable, able to communicate diplomatically across the organization’s functional teams to organize and ensure realization of key system supportability efforts within an MBPS framework.
