Job Title: Technical Production Lead
Department: Production
Summary: Technical lead is responsible for providing assistance within the Locpac department, which includes hands on participation with shop floor production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Gives input on production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Establishes work procedures to allow for standardized work in all assigned areas
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and the use of equipment to increase Locpac safety and efficiency.
- Ensures technical issues are resolved in Locpac including all shipments are packaged on-time.
- Assist with planning, scheduling and execution of operations to meet customer demands
- Required to learn how to operate the saw, shot peen, broach, package and assemble boxes.
- Assist in continuous improvement of the department
- Work closely with Production Supervisor to help develop and maintain skills matrix for Locpac department.
- Maintain area cleanliness and organization of Locpac and Shared Services area(s).
- Control inventory and material needs for the department while also being responsible for the ordering of all needed packaging.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
