Technical Sales Representative - “Trackster”: Sell Trackman branded products and services, primarily in Agriculture and Construction industries. Train dealers. Support key account activity.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Comprehensive product knowledge: Develop extensive knowledge of internal and competitive products with thorough understanding of features and benefits.
- Identify customer needs: Analyze customer behavior and needs, recommend the most appropriate products and services. Share newly identified needs to development and sales leadership.
- Gather market intel: Keep up to date with technology, trends and product offerings. Be familiar with industry-related trends and competitive offerings.
- Warranty claims: Help to settle claims to end-user satisfaction.
- Build relationships: Maintain relationships with existing customers and build new relationships with potential customers. Answer customer questions or concerns.
- Provide support: answer customer questions and provide technical support after the sales. Host product and service demonstrations. Support sales training with customers and end-users.
- Merchandising: Attain floor/counter/wall space at dealers for Trackman marketing materials.
- Key account support activity:
- Warranty claims. Customer communication. Quarterly percentage of turnover (POT) agreement calculations. Ongoing claim by claim CSCN portal management.
- Dealer training. Product updates, promotions, onsite visits, relationship building.
- Trade shows. Set up, work the booth, tear down.
- Competitive intelligence. Company overview, pricing, field feedback, etc.
- Obtain dealer forecast information.
Skills: Strong technical skills and Knowledge:
- Communication: Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Agriculture experience and knowledge:
- Problem Solving: Have strong problem solving and customer service skills
- Adaptability: Be able to adapt and learn quickly
- Presentation Skills: Have good presentation skills and be able to explain complex technical concepts
- Computer skills: Be Proficient with standard communication and productivity tools.
Education:
- College bachelor’s degree desired or comparable experience
- Business, Agriculture, Engineering.
Ability to Travel: 50-70% travel
- Travel Ability: Trade Shows, Customer visits, travel to specific locations to make sales pitches, finalize sales opportunities and execute product training
