Job Description: You will be responsible for driving our trucks and trailers to various locations to pick up and remove junk and unwanted items. You will work closely with the rest of our team to ensure that our clients receive excellent service and that all junk is disposed of safely and responsibly, following the protocol laid out in our employee handbook.
Responsibilities:
- Drive our trucks to various locations to pick up and remove junk and unwanted items
- Safely and efficiently load and unload items onto and off of the truck
- Communicate effectively with our clients and team members to ensure a smooth and efficient removal process
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the truck and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations when handling and disposing of junk
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and timely
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds) on a regular basis
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
