Please Note: We do NOT require someone with prior roofing experience. We can train that part of the role. It is the talent and drive for hands-on, out in the field, sales skills and success in closing new business that we are seeking.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with the Sales Manager to identify a list of prospective new clients to initially work on.
- Introduce the company and yourself to those prospective clients.
- Determine the level of “fit” between American Roofing and each prospective client
- If an appropriate fit, seek to gain the opportunity to work with those perspective clients on a few projects so that they can experience what working with American Roofing offers them on a first-hand basis.
- Continue to draw them in until we are their preferred roofing contractor.
- Continually seek prospective new clients to develop.
- The successful candidate will be supported by the company’s Sales Manager & Sales Coordinator.
- The successful candidate will be trained and mentored by the Sales and Production Manager
- A proven track record of success in a complex sales process.
- Business to Business sales background.
- A strategic thinker who can quickly distill their strategic thinking into actionable tactics they can implement in the market to gain new business.
- Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate with a very wide range of people from roofing labor through to CEOs of our customers’ companies.
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Excellent communicator in-person, in writing and over the phone.
- Values a high level of integrity and ethics.
- Can quickly convey their trustworthiness to prospective customers.
- Capable of taking the initiative on what activities you will work on each day, week and month, within the boundaries the company sets.
- Is comfortable working with a laptop and mobile devices.
- Has a good working knowledge of Excel and CRM systems.
- Is team spirited and can work alone also.
- Likes learning new things and strives to grow professionally each year.
- Valid Driver’s License
