Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced dispatcher with a strong background in mechanical trades in order to manage scheduling, dispatching, and logistics efficiently. The ideal candidate must have prior dispatching experience, parts and equipment ordering experience, an ability to prioritize calls (to maximize drive time and based upon Tech Performance and skill), and fleet management experience. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Dispatching & Scheduling: Assign and dispatch technicians, vehicles, or equipment based on service requests, job priority, and technician availability.
- Parts Ordering: Accurately order and track parts for sold jobs, ensuring availability before technician dispatch.
- Call Prioritization: Assess and prioritize incoming service calls to optimize scheduling and maximize revenue.
- Real-Time Coordination: Monitor routes, track job progress, and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency.
- Customer Communication: Provide job updates, ETAs, and follow-up communication to customers and technicians.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, service orders, and inventory tracking.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly address scheduling conflicts, urgent service requests, and unexpected delays.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure dispatching aligns with company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Ability to quickly understand call prioritization and booking strategies for service efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Points:
- 1 year(s) of Dispatch experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, etc)
- Experience with parts ordering and inventory management.
- Working knowledge and experience in Service Titan
- Knowledge of trade industry regulations, scheduling best practices, and compliance standards.
