What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Specialist position at American Safety Services, Inc.?
We are looking for a skilled AR Specialist to be responsible for processing field tickets received in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Process transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
- Prepare bills, perform reconciliations, adhere to company procedures and reconciliation in addition to other accouning related tasks
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve billing issues
- Filing and organization of field tickets and invoices
Skills
- Proven working experience as accounts receivable specialist
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (NetSuite and OpenInvoice experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Position Requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must live locally (25-mile radius of Midland/Odessa)
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
