What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager position at American Savings Bank?
Primary Purpose of Job
Responsible for the development and implementation of the Bank’s products strategy, product design and tactical execution in order to achieve corporate strategic objectives. Identifies opportunities for new products to drive growth.
Major Job Accountabilities
- Responsible for managing a competitive portfolio of products to achieve volume, revenue and profit targets.
- As the product lead, you will be responsible for developing strategy and working cross-function to execute on product changes, marketing campaigns, promotions, tools, events, etc. remain in line with overall direction and helps achieve goals.
- Monitors portfolio trends, competition and environmental trends for opportunities, risks and regulation changes. Suggests enhancements to the product portfolio and product packages, including features and pricing to strengthen the Bank’s competitive position and achieve its business targets.
- Manages initiatives and projects as the business owner which may be related to product, process or platform changes. As the business owner, leads the project team, gathers business requirements, testing and creates a go-to market plan including training and internal/external communications.
- Understands the full end-to-end process to create efficiency and a good customer experience.
- Responsible for managing applicable vendors.
Experience Required
A minimum of four (4) years of experience:
- In Product or Account Management
- In banking or a financial institution is a plus
Required Skills or Training
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, with a high degree of project management skills.
- Effective communication, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to think on their feet.
- Able to remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to competing priorities.
- Knowledge of and professional experience with bank products is a plus.
- Quantitative skills and passion for data-based decisions.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required.
