What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at American Security Associates Inc.?
New hourly wage increases have allowed us to start our search for more qualified individuals seek security as a career. If chosen, you will be the 2nd of 2 officers standing at a gate. The goal will be to allow only those who work there or who have been invited through the gate. You will announce visitor arrivals and/or escort that visitor to his contact individual. Same with vendors and/or contractors. You will answer phones, give directions, complete reports and make patrols assisted by a motorized vehicle. Suspicious activity will be noted. You will assist in emergency situations as instructed or guided to do so. Current needs are for part time on weekends.
Requirements for this position: pass drug test; pass background check; have reliable transportation 24/7; be able to walk - sit - stand for prolonged periods of time in all types of weather. The ability to operate a cell phone - IPad - weather radio - computer and a communications radio is a plus. You must be able to read and write the English language.
Starting pay is $17 an hour, then 18 an hour after 90 days and providing you have met the necessary training and knowledge level. Yearly evaluations follow.
