As The DC Yard Driver, You Will
Coordinate movement of all in-bound and out-bound trailers in the yard. Move trailers to and from the yard based on instructions received from the shipping or receiving coordinators.

- Complete a DVIR on the yard tractor at the beginning of the shift.
- Receive instructions from the coordinator on what trailers need to be moved to which doors.
- Follows all yard safety procedures including but not limited to
- Staying alert to traffic in the yard
- Hooking tractors
- Removing chocks
- Handling swing outdoors
- Close all trailer doors before exiting the yard.
- Follows the rules of the road to transfer trailers to other warehouses.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a current CDL (Class A) to drive on public roads.
- Ability to work 3rd shift- Sunday through Thursday.
- Must be able to provide a good safety record and maintain this record while in this position.
- Must have good attendance record and past record of dependability.
- Must have the ability to communicate and work well with other departments (particularly shipping and receiving coordinators).
- Must be willing to work OT as necessary.
- 5 years of good driving experience; would consider less experience if candidate worked as yard driver.
