Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Provide specialized care in pediatrics and prosthodontics as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Epic for patient management and medical imaging.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics and prosthodontics is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and medical records management.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
