The Applied Gene and Cellular Therapy Center at Cincinnati Children’s has an excellent opportunity to join our translational research team.The Division of Experimental Hematology and Cancer Biology at Cincinnati Children’s focuses on translating the results of our basic science research into new clinical therapies. We aim to develop novel human cell / gene therapies in which the therapeutic potential of genetically modified human progenitors and / or immune effector cells is explored in pre-clinical and early clinical trials (T0-T2).Our team includes talented researchers, research assistants, graduate assistants, postdoctoral fellows, and support staff working in the development of translational programs.PURPOSE OF POSITION : To conduct translational research collaboratively and accelerate the pace of translation of projects and studies into clinical trials. To participate in teaching, training, scholarly activities and / or service / administration. Responsible for initiating, soliciting, and coordinating well-designed cell, immune and gene therapy based research projects that have potential for external funding and Internal Review Board or Investigational New Drug approvals. May participate in activities to plan, direct, implement, coordinate, and improve services and technical operations within the research activities of the organization. To collaborate with Scientific Directors and colleagues to maximize the function of the organization’s scientists and clinician-scientists.
