About the position
- The physician will join a dynamic, academically focused, regionally integrated group of oncologists with an emphasis on multidisciplinary care, quality, research, and teaching.
- This 100% inpatient, employed position offers a flexible schedule and is open to candidates seeking a .5 FTE in addition to those wanting a 1.0 FTE; will work in conjunction with a full-time, dedicated inpatient oncology APP.
- Excellent general hospitalist support with most oncology patients being admitted to general hospitalist service.
- Saint Luke’s Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine; the candidate will work closely with HEM / ONC fellows, IM residents in addition to medical students.
- The Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute has a robust clinical research program with NCI, industry, and investigator-initiated clinical trials as well as a Center for Precision Oncology and a molecular tumor board.
- Commission on Cancer Silver Commendation Accredited Integrated Cancer Network Program and QOPI certified practice.
