Interior Designer (Mid-Level, 8-10 Years Experience, NCIDQ Required)Location : Washington, DCK Dixon Architecture (KDA) is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead design efforts on diverse projects in higher education, science & technology, healthcare, commercial, civic, and government sectors. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of the design process , from programming and concept development to construction documentation and administration.Responsibilities : Lead and contribute to multiple interior design projects, ensuring high-quality design solutions.Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop cohesive, innovative designs .Develop space planning, material selections, and interior details aligned with project goals and client expectations.Prepare and oversee construction documents, specifications, and FF&E packages .Assist in construction administration by reviewing submittals, coordinating with contractors, and conducting site visits.Stay informed on industry trends, building codes, and sustainability practices .Present design concepts to clients, guiding discussions to align with project vision and budget.Collaborate with junior designers, providing mentorship and feedback.Qualifications : 8-10 years of professional experience in interior design.NCIDQ certification required.Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture .Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office .Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.Experience with higher education, science & technology, healthcare, or government projects is a plus.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Why Join KDA?Competitive salary, profit-sharing, and excellent benefits (including 401K).#J-18808-Ljbffr
