What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Transplant Surgery position at American Society of Transplant Surgeons?
Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM) are jointly recruiting a Chief of Transplant Surgery. The well-established Division of Transplant Surgery at BMC focuses specifically on kidney transplant surgery and places a high priority on the training, education, and mentorship of general surgery residents and medical students.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished surgeon, respected for clinical excellence and nationally recognized for innovation and scholarship. Applicants should have experience serving in a leadership role within a school of medicine and / or major teaching hospital. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships across the recently expanded Boston Medical Center Health System (BMC Health), which includes BMC, as well as our community hospitals, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass. and Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Mass.
