Solar/Battery Systems Sales Consultant

American Solar has an immediate opening for a motivated and experienced solar and energy storage sales professional to join our team. This full-time position focuses on high-end, high-quality renewable energy systems, including Solar, Energy Storage and EV Charging.

We are a relationship-focused company that offers the highest quality project and customer service. The ideal applicant brings successful technical sales experience, well organized thinking and an inspired attitude focused on exemplary customer service.

Position Requirements

• Create, design and present renewable energy project proposals to high-end residential clients
• Strong presentation, sales negotiation and closing skills
• Face-to-face client meetings and closings, in-home or through video conferencing
• Finding solutions through communicating and supporting customer needs
• Meeting sales targets while setting goals to achieve greater success
• Orientation to details and administrative requirements to complete sales process
• Ability to grasp new technical and organizational concepts in a high growth environment
• Desire to be a renewable energy expert

Desired Level of Experience and Qualifications

• Sales experience working directly with homeowners, general contractors and architects.
• 3-5 years in the solar or energy storage industries (or construction-related fields)
• Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to get projects closed and completed independently
• Basic understanding of solar electric/battery system design, and installation best practices
• Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• The ability to move quickly from analog to digital thinking
• Experience with industry tools including Helioscope/Aurora, Energy Toolbase, Salesforce
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office 365 tools including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word
