American Soybean Association’s state relations manager will work with our affiliated state soybean organizations
A farmer-led organization, the American Soybean Association (ASA) has served as the national policy organization that advocates on behalf of U.S. soybean farmers on domestic policy issues and international trade issues for more than 100 years. ASA gives voice to 500,000 soybean growers in 30 soybean-producing states.
The Mission of ASA is to advocate for U.S. soy farmers on policy and trade.

What we need:
- Experience (minimum 5 years post-college) demonstrating strong sales, relationship building, communications, and project management skills. Agricultural experience is a plus.
- Professional ad agency, agriculture association/organization experience, fundraising or sales experience.
- Solid knowledge of agriculture, particularly row crop production.
- Strong writing skills. This job requires extensive proposal writing
- Strong spoken, written, listening and presentation skills.
- Project management capabilities.
- Ability to learn and work independently and proactively, while accepting guidance from other team members.
- Strong organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to bring multiple stakeholders together to achieve common goals.
- Ability to effectively work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and solve problems efficiently.
- Able to work with accounting and financial spreadsheets.
- Meetings and events planning experience would be helpful.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, marketing, political science, communications, or related field.
- Position requires up to 25% travel.
