As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities for crew(s) in various production areas by processing materials or manufacturing products.
Responsibilities include :
At the direction of the Department Manager, prepares daily operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications for various production crews.
Reviews department production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Review work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from purchasing department.
Interprets specifications and blueprints to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Maintains time and production records.
Performs other tasks as instructed by supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before managers or groups of employees.
Must be able to read, understand and interpret pipe drawings and specification boundary sheets.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to compute ratio and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where possibly only limited standardization exists.
Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to operate computer-controlled panels, including reading and interpreting console indicators and gauges.
Must be able to read, understand and interpret part drawings.
Must have knowledge of Manufacturing software, Project Management software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
Must be able to work well with others and perform duties professionally under pressure.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment operating under high pressures.
The environment will consist of being outside when needed, inside when needed and will likely consist of transferring back and forth between in and out as various needs arise.
This job will require being active and covering a lot of ground on foot throughout the shift.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud requiring hearing protection.
