Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Operator to join our team. The Operator is primarily responsible for installation, service, and repair of turbine pumps and large centrifugal pumps. The Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects by effectively managing equipment and will act as the foreman of that crew in the field and in the shop.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of operations and report any issues to supervisors.
- Follow project plans and specifications to meet quality standards.
- Customer Service
- Select proper equipment for each job
- Line out crew
- Check for proper Paperwork before leaving for the job site
- Keep accurate notes of the job on the work order
- Bring in any parts that need repaired
- Meet with shop and office to arrange for repair or replacement of parts.
- Make sure all parts needed for the job are loaded.
- Ensure proper installation
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support Machinist as time allows
- Support domestic tech as time allows
- Other Duties as the need arises
- Yard and shop maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Operator or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
- Commitment to safety practices and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Irrigation: 1 year (Preferred)
- Operator: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- American Falls, ID 83211: Relocate before starting work (Required)
