Role Overview:
As a Social Media Production Assistant, you will play a key role in capturing behind-the-scenes content, creating mobile-friendly social media stories, and assisting our production team both in the studio and the field. You will work closely with our on-screen talent and production crew to produce quick, engaging content that drives audience interaction and supports our broader marketing initiatives. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about digital media, social platforms, and hands-on production work. This is an onsite position in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
Field & On-Site Content Capture:
- Film behind-the-scenes footage and spontaneous content using mobile devices.
- Assist in on-site production during events, shoots, and special projects, ensuring that all captured content is engaging and aligns with the brand’s tone.
Content Production & Editing:
- Produce quick-turnaround content such as social media stories, short videos, and live posts.
- Perform light editing on mobile devices or use simple editing software to prepare content for rapid upload.
Content Optimization & Engagement:
- Ensure all content is optimized with appropriate captions, descriptions, and hashtags.
- Monitor and respond to audience comments, engage with tagged posts, and assist in curating user-generated content.
- Work closely with the creative and production teams to develop content that supports overall social media strategy.
Field Coordination & Support:
- Be prepared to travel locally (or out-of-state when required) for on-site filming and production support.
- Assists with logistics during production days, ensuring equipment is ready, and production runs smoothly.
Collaboration & Brand Alignment:
- Collaborate with on-screen talent, videographers, and editors to ensure all content is consistent with our brand voice and style.
- Contribute ideas and feedback on trends and audience engagement to help drive the overall social media strategy.
Experience Required:
- Prior experience or internship in social media, content production, or digital media is a plus.
- Familiarity with mobile filming and basic video editing tools/apps.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
