Position Overview: As a Field Technician with American Standard Home Services, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our brand’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to provide top-notch service and support for our products, focusing on Senior Walk-in tubs or Acrylic/Solid Surface showers. This role involves servicing, inspecting, transporting materials, and performing Safety Tub Step installations to our existing and current product within the wet area of the bathroom. 

Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Installation Inspection:

   • Inspect existing tubs for chips, markings, or damage prior to installation.
   • Verify all materials received are undamaged, including:
     • Safety Tub Step model
     • Support Box
     • Template
     • Adhesive tubes and application nozzle
   • For STS Combo models, check the Waterproof Membrane for damage.

2. Measurement and Fit Verification:

   • Measure the top rail width and width down the tub to ensure proper fit for the Safety Tub Step.
   • Confirm that the Safety Tub Step will fit the bathtub before proceeding.

3. Site Preparation:

   • Protect all surrounding walls, floors, and adjacent areas from dust and debris.
   • Remove any customer items that may be impacted during the installation.

4. Dust Control:

   • Use drop cloths to contain dust and debris, securing them to the tub and covering drains.

5. Installation Process:

   • Remove shower doors if necessary to facilitate installation.
   • Trace and cut the bathtub as per installation instructions using appropriate tools.
   • Clean the installation area thoroughly, ensuring all dust and debris are removed.

6. Safety Tub Step Installation:

   • Prepare and cut the Safety Tub Step to fit the tub opening.
   • Position the Safety Tub Step accurately on the tub wall and secure it with the Support Box.
   • Apply adhesive and caulk around the perimeter of the Safety Tub Step, ensuring proper sealing.

7. Post-Installation Cleanup:

   • Remove any debris from the installation site and clean the tub and surrounding bathroom area.
   • Place signage on the Safety Tub Step to inform users of the curing time for the adhesive.

8. Additional Installations:

   • Install safety grab bars and bath mats as required.

9. Customer Communication:

   • Communicate with customers regarding the installation process and any potential impacts on their space.

· Experience in servicing Senior Walk-in tubs or Acrylic/Solid Surface showers is advantageous
