Role and Responsibilities
- Work with the project manager, checker, and other team members to create shop and erection drawings by interpreting design documents from the structural engineer and architect.
- Use SDS/2 software to quickly and efficiently create a 3D model and shop/erection drawings to be used by the steel fabricator and by the steel erector in the field.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED minimum.
- Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- 30 WPM typing and computer skills.
- Experience with SDS2 or other modeling/drafting software.
- Must be punctual and organized.
- Strong communication skills are required
- Must have experience with reading, drafting, and dimensioning drawings.
Additional Notes
Advanced Computer skills are a plus as well.
Training will be provided for software specific to the industry.
