Position: CAD Technician
Location: Indianapolis
We are looking for a CAD Technician/Sr. CAD Technician who is looking for the opportunity to work on exciting projects in our Indianapolis office. Our ideal candidate is passionate about drafting and works well in a fast paced and collaborative environment. The Road CAD Technician will work with our engineering team to develop plan sets for large road projects in Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Operates CAD station proficiently to develop finished drawings and operates plotter to reproduce drawings.
- Analyze sketches, notes or other input material to determine best approach.
- Recommend new methods and procedures to CAD Manager to increase efficiency and proficiency in operation.
- Development of CAD drawings for Transportation projects.
- Selects methods from preceding work, instructions and company standards
- More experienced professionals may assist in training and review work of CAD drafters and staff engineers.
Qualifications
- 0-15 years of relative experience- Position level/title will be determined based upon years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Microstation/Geopak preferred.
- INDOT experience preferred.
- Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or similar area of study.
