OVERVIEW
The Assistant Finance Manager Non-Refining Operations (NRO) position will be an integral member of the NRO Finance team. They will report to the Finance Manager of NRO Operations and be based at the Baltimore, MD refinery. This position is a key part of the talent pool development for the ASR Finance organization. This is an ideal role for an ambitious and motivated finance professional who wishes to deepen their understanding of manufacturing, while contributing to a leading global business and growing their career. In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to work and cross-train with other Finance team members including refinery finance managers, financial systems team members, and Corporate FP&A team members at the Baltimore refinery.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a problem solving and analytical resource for the NRO Finance Manager, Plant Managers, and plant leadership teams located in Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; and Nashville, TN.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes including month end accruals, purchase orders outstanding analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and presentation slides.
- Learn to use SAP ERP, Financial Planning, Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI and Procure to Pay software systems.
- Create the weekly metrics, support the Capital Asset and Approval for Expenditure process and the annual budget and business planning process.
- Support and assist the Plant Managers and Operations Teams in identifying and quantifying cost savings opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives as well as tracking of key performance indicators.
- Understand the manufacturing process and economics of the plant to provide timely and effective financial guidance and support.
- Report and analyze monthly results of third-party packer, transfer station and outside warehouse locations within the supply chain group.
- Assist the NRO Finance Manager and plant leadership teams to improve EBITDA of the company.

SALARY PAY RANGE : $77,500.00 - $143,500.00 plus bonus
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
