Summary – Job Responsibilities – Activities:
Under the direction of the Assistant TX Manufacturing Manager, Winder Level 3 will wind coils using winding machine in accordance with work instructions and mechanical drawings/schematics, manufacturing procedures, and quality procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Operates winding machines to wind simple transformers, SRV’s, chokes, air cores, and balance reactors.
- Uses normal tools, such as a soldering iron, scissors, knives, cutters, saws, hammers, mallets, and power saws.
- Will also be working with cements and glue.
- Use magnet wire as rounds, squares, flats, insulated and un-insulated and some copper sheet.
- Must help setting up winding machine materials for jobs.
Education – Experience:
Entry level position. Will train candidate with previous mechanical abilities and/or 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:
- Requires ability to stand, stoop and or kneel for extended periods of time;
- Must consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required for this position and its tasks/operations, i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves and harness/fall arrest system;
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis; Stand/walk 95% of the day;
- Ability to work overtime to meet production schedules, as needed.
- Must be certified to operate a forklift and crane.
